For those who follow the forum avidly, ha ha, you might remember a post at the beginning of the month about my Pepperstone exploits. I'd opened a European account rather than an Ozzie one, which meant I was constrained to the nanny state rules of the EU. I'm pleased to say that the right account is now open and funded. A few observations on Pepperstone: 1. They mentioned that Mozilla Firefox was their preferred browser. This happened to be when I was having issues with the cash transfer. I think Chrome works just fine to, once my bank had taken a hold off my card. (I'm on a Mac). 2. Their support team are not as friendly or efficient as IC Markets. No one has a name, and if you want them to explore anything they always ask for your email, even though you gave it to start the chat. You wait ages in between comments, which presumably means they have a lot of chats open per support member at any given time. (Their tech team are all based in Dallas, US, not Australia - not sure whether that is significant). 3. The one big benefit of Pepperstone is native MT4 for the MAC. Appreciate that might be as useful as a chocolate fireguard for most 'forumites'.

@samuelmorton, both pairs oversold. USDSEK has flown through a weekly level, GBPSEK a daily level. Could these be treated as MTs?

@samuelmorton, could you list all of the markets that you are now actively looking for trades? This would allow us to be better prepared when a signal comes. It also helps with the learning process.

I opened a Pepperstone account yesterday. Thought it would be just like IC Markets. Easy! A Relationship Manager without an Ozzie accent rings me today to have a chat. He does do me one big favour. I've opened an FCA rules 'razor', not an ASIC one. Wrong web site. "Our support team on live chat will help you switch it over". Over 1 hour on the phone to Dallas based support. I have to get my email, disassociated from my current account. Then I can open another ASIC account. The cowboy, helps me do this (they don't have names). Helpfully, I get a new URL to start the account opening process again. The new form, looks very like the old one. I get back on to live chat. Yes, yes, there are lots of similar questions. I now have 2 FCA regulated 'razor' accounts. Apparently 'Youssef', who is based in Dallas as well, is going to ring me. At least he has a name. He knows how to fix this says my soon to be ex-RM (who only looks after FCA punters). I do like the Mac friendly MT4 software. I just can't trade. That's probably just as well at the moment.

I'm undecided whether that EURJPY candle is undecided.

Is Sam Wise getting vaguely excited about 3:00pm? Not that Sam does excitement....

Was that another dreaded perfect pin bar on the 1:00pm candle? I hope that Sam Wise has dismissed this as being imperfect because it's too big a spread?

After my 'ironic' post yesterday about a perfect pin bar on AUDCAD, after we'd all been stopped out, I went to the cinema (watched Colette) with family. Kick off was at 4:00pm and you have to respect theatre etiquette. Missed the debate here and didn't get back to my screen until 7:00pm. I know the wise one has good rules on time, but I couldn't help myself. (Always did my best work in the evening). AUDCAD has happened and I also spot AUDJPY. I smartly set a couple of BUY Limit orders. If it happens, it happens. But of course, I can't help but look later. Why did I do that? And of course, the rest is history. I'm long both trades, currently in a negative position. Could be sitting in a positive light this morning, but the fear of missing out and greed, kicked in. If these trades end up winning, great, I'm on the right side. But how much sweeter to have got in at the right price on both trades.

I was looking at @Lennart's trade this morning and one of the comments made in particular. But a good setup, still has a random outcome... Is this true? Having a trading strategy with precise rules, is surely designed to upset the level playing field, providing a better than 'random' result.

Just an observation. Noticed that the CHF has lost ground all day against all the usual currencies, even GBP. Currently oversold, but time for bed.........

For those of you who like to use a simple calculator, I find this very helpful. https://www.babypips.com/tools/position-size-calculator If you run a Sterling account, change the currency at the top. And don't make the mistake I made the other day. The highlighted box at the bottom is looking for the current price of GBP/USD, not the price of the currency pair you're planning to trade.

It would be really helpful to clear the blue dots which signify my unread messages in the notifications section (where the list is). I've read them as part of a thread but haven't necessarily clicked on each individual item. Being able to see the first line in my email, can also be enough. Ideally, we need a 'clear all' action, behind the bell icon. Thanks

I haven't taken this trade - yet. I hate trying to call the bottom. I like mechanical certainty. But it isn't like that - I hear you cry. It's just a quick scalp, after a sustained downward trend all day. Yes. You're right. But Sam Wise, still had to decide when to call time and dive in. Why not make a move at 10:00am? There was a bounce then, as well. In the end, it was a very quick dip. It was all over by the time the clock struck 4:00pm. Don't hang around. Take the bounce and go. Could this pair be traded differently today? Tomorrow?

Sam, Can you alter the clock on your web site, it's an hour ahead of us Brits. I know when I'm out an about, it will really help if I can see the exact time when you posted a trade.
