For people in the forum, I suspect the answer is 'yes', go for it. I certainly think it's a good idea. Your issue is with the people who are currently not in the forum who might view this change suspiciously. If results from March 19 onwards are good, no one will probably care.

It appears that my freshly opened Pepperstone 'razor' account is registered in the UK (Europe) not Oz. It wasn't part of the ridiculous 20 questions process. I made the school boy error, starting the process on the wrong web site. Can't wait for the hoop jumping to follow.

I notice that you took EURNOK with bullish MAs. I've seen this a lot, when looking for trades. There are good set-ups, but the MAs lag, (as expected). This is a classic example. If you'd waited, there wouldn't have been another signal. Instead, you've caught the downtrend early. Does this mean Trade per Day trades are likely to be more flexible?

@samuelmorton, you didn't mention it today, but I expect the biggest shift in favour of the pound will happen if Yvette Cooper's bill is passed. There are plenty of 'ifs' there, but I can't see how the market has costed this in.

@Westie, I got in late on Friday (09:00am) because of the school run and decided to cash my chips at breakeven later in the day. I was looking for an entry like you last night, but didn't pull the trigger. Good for you.

@samuelmorton, I currently use IC Markets for my trading. I'm keen to open an account with Pepperstone because they have a native Mac app for MT4. Darwinex is just more pain downloading emulation software. Another key factor is being able to trade the new commodities or indices which you add to the new watchlist. Hopefully Pepperstone would add to the overall list. I'll wait to see which fits best, dependent on what you decide to add. Any thoughts appreciated.

@samuelmorton, I think having more opportunities for trend trades on the 1 and 4 hour timeframes would be great. I also think it is worth mentioning that the reason why I don't like the exotic trades is because entering the market is not based on any clear signals apart from an oversold/bought RSI. When you don't have years of experience, these are difficult to judge. Presumably, you didn't go long USDMXN yesterday? Would have been a nice trade off that 4:00pm pin bar. But then there's the whole decision about position size. I'm certainly not interested taking trades for a few quid. I'd want to be trading £10 a point, because they're such short trades. Trouble is, I'm not skilled or experienced enough to do this. Compare this to the trend trade rules or pairs at daily or weekly levels. It is very clear when to enter the market. No ambiguity, no doubt, just follow the rules. And the rewards make sense.

AUDCHF is a great example on my first point.

@samuelmorton, it comes back to the point I raised the other day. Pairs, which you normally only consider for daily/weekly trades, could be traded as trend trades as well. I'm sure you have good reasons why you don't? But then you will take a trend trade pair and trade them at a daily/weekly, if the opportunity arises. That aside, why not add some indices, plus oil, gas, gold etc. I would welcome more opportunities to apply the rules of trend trading to more markets. This appeals far more to me, than trying to scalp USD exotic pairs.
